Mathematically Alive is Joseph Coburn and Katherine Foronjy’s
first foray into documentary filmmaking.
They met while working together at a small production company
on the west side of Manhattan, producing a weekly news-magazine
show that aired on regional PBS networks.
The low production budget and long hours adequately prepared
them for the grind of producing a feature length documentary.
What began as just a concept on a frigid February night in 2005
evolved into a passionate quest to capture fandom that consumed
over 2 years of their lives.
Joe & Kathy started their production company, Vitamin Enriched Inc.,
upon completion of Mathematically Alive. Already underway on their next
project, Joe & Kathy plan on sticking around
the world of documentary filmmaking.
